Baddie for ADDIE

Every time I look for information about the ADDIE model I get worried our industry is determined to put everyone to sleep. The ADDIE model of instructional design is super simple, and no one needs another one of these please.

What you need to know is that is acronym, and it is an effective approach to instructional design: Assess, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate.

It is not necessarily linear, and should be used in a dynamic, iterative way for efficient design that identifies critical and relevant learning content.

Here are the 5 steps:

Analyse: This step involves delving deep into understanding the learning needs. By analyzing the target audience and their requirements, instructional designers gather essential insights to kickstart the process.

Design: Next up, we get our creative juices flowing to design a learning solution that rocks! This step focuses on crafting the program structure, learning objectives, and strategies to meet the identified needs.

Develop: Time to get hands-on and develop the actual learning content. All the planning and ideas come to life in this stage, creating engaging and interactive learning materials.

Implement: Now, we put our masterpiece to the test by implementing the learning program. It's all about rolling it out to the eager audience and providing them with the tools they need to excel.

Evaluate: We assess the success of the learning program. Through evaluation, we gauge how well it met the learning needs and make any necessary tweaks to maximize its impact.

Thank you, next!
